At Cavender Subaru Midland Odessa, we believe that when a community comes together with purpose, even the simplest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact. Through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, we were honored to partner with Operation Warm and the Boys & Girls Club of Midland to bring warmth, comfort, and confidence to children right here in our hometown. From the moment we arrived at the Club, there was a sense of excitement in the air. Kids gathered with anticipation, eager to take part in something special. For many of them, this was more than just another day, it was a moment they would remember. Our team had the privilege of setting up, greeting the children, and preparing for what would quickly become a truly heartwarming experience. As the coat distribution began, each child was invited to select a brand-new coat of their very own. Bright colors, cozy linings, and warm smiles filled the room as kids tried them on, zipped them up, and proudly showed them off to their friends. What may seem like a simple item became something so much more in that moment. These coats weren't just about staying warm, they were about belonging, confidence, and knowing that someone cares. Our team members worked one-on-one with the children, helping them find the right size and style, making sure each child felt seen and celebrated. The joy was contagious. Laughter echoed throughout the space as kids compared colors, struck playful poses, and expressed their excitement. It was in these genuine interactions that the true spirit of Subaru Loves to Help came to life. One child shared, "I am so happy to get a new coat with my favorite color!" Another smiled and said, "I feel like this one was made just for me." Those words are powerful reminders of why partnerships like this matter. A new coat may seem small, but for these children, it represents dignity, security, and a boost in confidence they can carry with them every day—whether they're walking into school, playing outside, or simply facing the world with a little more courage. Seeing those outcomes begin right here at the Boys & Girls Club of Midland made the experience even more meaningful for our entire team. The Boys & Girls Club of Midland continues to be a cornerstone of our community, providing a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and build bright futures. Being able to support their mission, even in a small way, is something we are incredibly proud of. At Cavender Subaru Midland Odessa, we believe caring for our community goes hand in hand with caring for the environment. Through the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, we were proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to bring a meaningful sustainability effort directly to the people we serve. From March 23–28, we invited our customers and community members to sign up to receive a free tree, giving them the opportunity to create a lasting environmental impact right at home. What began as a simple opportunity quickly grew into a powerful shared experience. Throughout the week, our showroom was filled with energy, excitement, and a genuine sense of purpose as guests learned about the program and signed up to participate. Families made it a group decision, coworkers encouraged one another to join, and even customers visiting for routine service found themselves inspired to take part. Conversations naturally shifted toward sustainability, conservation, and the importance of making small choices that lead to meaningful change. In those moments, our dealership became more than a place of business, it became a space where community and environmental responsibility came together. One of the most impactful parts of the event was hearing directly from our customers: "It's amazing to see a company not just talk about helping the environment but actually give us a way to be part of it. My family is excited to plant our tree together this weekend." "I've always wanted to do something small to help but didn't know where to start. This made it simple, and now I feel like I'm making a real difference." "I came in for service and left with a way to give back. That's not something you expect—in the best way." 🐾 Subaru Loves Pets: A Day of Love, Laughter, and New Beginnings - Heather M
At Cavender Subaru Midland Odessa, we believe love goes beyond the showroom. It’s about community, compassion, and creating connections that make a difference — especially for our four-legged friends. This October, we proudly partnered with the Midland Humane Coalition to host our annual Subaru Loves Pets Event, celebrating shelter pets and helping them find their forever homes. On Saturday, October 18th, 2025, our dealership lot was transformed into a joyful celebration filled with wagging tails, smiling faces, and the true spirit of the Subaru Love Promise. The event featured everything from Trunk-or-Treat fun — with local businesses decorating Subaru vehicles in creative, pet-themed displays — to generous sponsors who covered pet adoption fees so more animals could be welcomed into loving homes. Each sponsor’s logo was displayed on the kennel of the pet they helped, reminding everyone just how powerful community support can be. Of course, one of the biggest highlights of the day was our Pet Costume Contest, where creativity and cuteness collided! The crowd cheered as pets of all shapes and sizes strutted their stuff in costumes ranging from superheroes to spooky ghouls. Our Top Dog winner, Winston the Chocolate Lab, stole everyone’s hearts dressed as a s’more! His sweet costume (and even sweeter personality) made him a crowd favorite and earned him the title fair and square. By the end of the event, several pets from the Midland Humane Coalition had found their forever homes — a testament to the compassion and generosity of our community, our sponsors, and every person who came out to support the cause. At Cavender Subaru Midland-Odessa, we believe that love is more than a word—it’s something you do. That belief is at the core of the Subaru Love Promise, and one of the most meaningful ways we live it out each year is through our partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This summer, we had the incredible honor of visiting Texas Oncology in Midland, TX as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. It’s an annual tradition that’s close to our hearts—an opportunity to deliver much more than just blankets and messages. It’s a chance to deliver warmth, comfort, and a moment of connection to patients in the middle of some of the most difficult battles of their lives. Walking into the treatment center, we were met with strength, courage, and kindness. Patients were receiving chemotherapy, some alone and others surrounded by loved ones, but all fighting with unwavering spirit. We brought with us a collection of warm blankets and handwritten messages of hope—many written by our own staff and customers—each one a small reminder that they are not alone in their journey. The experience was emotional and inspiring. It reminded us that we all have the ability to make a difference, no matter how small the gesture. And for us at Cavender Subaru Midland-Odessa, this is what community means—being there for one another in real, meaningful ways. We’re proud to stand alongside LLS and Texas Oncology in the fight against blood cancers. Through research, support, and compassion, progress is being made every day—and we are humbled to play a small role in that journey. This visit wasn’t just about blankets. It was about hope. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Midland, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/14/2025, Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa donated 120 coats to High Sky Children's Ranch. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

At Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa, we care deeply about our community and are committed to keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and healthy now and for generations to come. Trees are vital to this effort — they provide oxygen, cool our community, filter water, clean the air, prevent flooding, and improve health. But every year, our community loses trees due to age, disease, infestation, and extreme weather. Subaru and retailers like us are proud to partner with the Arbor Day Foundation to help address this problem. This spring as part of our Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Cavender Subaru of Midland Odessa provided and distributed 100 of mature, regionally appropriate trees that will benefit communities for generations. This year alone, Subaru and its retailers provided and distributed 100,000 trees to communities across the country. Through this new partnership and other initiatives, Subaru and retailers like us have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees so far — and this is just the beginning. Together, we are growing a greener, healthier Midland / Odessa, TX for generations to come.
Growing Hope at Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals - Heather M
At Cavender Subaru Midland Odessa, we believe love is best shared with all living beings—especially those who cannot speak for themselves. That’s why, as part of our Subaru Love Promise to the Earth and our community, we proudly partnered with the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals to plant a tree that symbolizes growth, compassion, and a better future for the animals they protect. Located in Midland, Texas, the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals is more than just a shelter—it’s a safe haven for animals who’ve faced difficult beginnings. When we visited the sanctuary, we were moved by the dedication of the staff and volunteers who provide lifelong care to over 60 dogs and 80 cats. The new trees will offer much-needed shade for outdoor play areas, shelter from the Texas sun, and a quiet place for visitors and volunteers to reflect on the love and second chances these animals receive every day. The Donation brought together Subaru team members, sanctuary volunteers, and members of our community. It was a simple act—but one that represented so much more. As the tree grows, so will the hope and healing it stands for. This tree is our promise: to support the planet, to stand by our furry friends, and to give back to the places that nurture them. Held in celebration of Arbor Day, this event invited Subaru owners and community members to stop by the dealership and pick up a young sapling to plant at home. Each tree — carefully selected for the local environment — came with planting instructions and the knowledge that every small action can lead to lasting impact. For every tree taken home, Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation are helping offset carbon emissions, reduce urban heat, and restore natural habitats. The MRCCAC is a beacon of hope for survivors of sexual violence and abuse in the Permian Basin. With a dedicated team of counselors, advocates, and forensic professionals, they provide trauma-informed services to children and adults who have experienced unimaginable hardship. Their mission to restore dignity, safety, and healing inspired our team to act. At Cavender Subaru, we know that financial support can be a lifeline for organizations like MRCCAC. Our donation helps expand access to therapy services, forensic care, and community outreach programs — giving survivors a safe space to heal and children the tools to thrive. “Our goal has always been to stand with those doing the hard work of healing,” said a Cavender Subaru team member. “This donation is our way of saying: you are not alone.
